Waterfall poorly positioned –

Our customer’s water fall was built directly on top of the pool shell bond beam, and pool deck. When the swimming pool water feature and pool bond beam are physically tied together, any movement of the underlying soil will cause cracks across the waterfall surface causing leaks. What we decided to do , was **cantilever the water fall spillway over the bond beam. This way the deck and waterfall will move separately, and any stress cracks will be eliminated.
**Cantilevers provide a clear space underneath the beam without any supporting columns or bracing. Cantilevers became a popular structural form with the introduction of steel and reinforced concrete. They are used extensively in building construction, notably in: Cantilever bridges.

Add a full rock wall complete with cascading water to one end of your pool and enjoy the illusion of relaxing at the foot of a mountain. For a romantic feature, create a private rock cave hidden behind your new waterfall. Underwater seating ledges can make your cave even more appealing!
